NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The FBI says that the shootings of 17 people at a neighborhood Mother's Day parade in New Orleans appear to be street violence, and not terrorism-related.
FBI spokeswoman Mary Beth Romig said federal investigators have no indication that the shooting was an act of terrorism.
She says: "It's strictly an act of street violence in New Orleans."
New Orleans police say that gunmen opened fire on a second-line procession. They say the wounds were mostly not life-threatening.
